The Halfway Hurdle, presented by ODZ, is a challenging yet accessible 22km cycling race held every Saturday morning. This event puts riders' endurance and climbing abilities to the test with a total elevation gain of 265 meters.
The route winds through scenic country roads before hitting the "Halfway Hurdle" itself - a moderate but draining climb that splits the race right down the middle. Conquering this central ascent requires pacing and determination as riders work their way up the slope.
But that's not all - after cresting the hurdle, a rewarding descent allows cyclists to recover briefly before continuing on. The remaining kilometers roll along, providing ample opportunity to make up time or battle for position before the exhilarating finale.
The race concludes with a fantastic finish at the velodrome, where competitors can put the hammer down and experience the adrenaline rush of soaring around the banked curves. Crossing the velodrome line is the ultimate test of who has the strongest kick left after conquering the Halfway Hurdle.
